As a Security Officer - Armed - Commercial Real Estate Patrol in New Orleans, LA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer for a commercial real estate location, you will drive and patrol assigned areas, staying highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to calls for service, and document observations with clear, timely reports.

- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout commercial property areas including building interiors, lobbies, corridors, loading areas, garages, and perimeter routes to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Maintain a high-visibility presence while carrying authorized equipment and following all weapons handling, retention, and storage requirements in accordance with company and location policy.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry by verifying identification, issuing visitor directions, and documenting access as required by site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, medical situations, fires, and/or property damage, and coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
- Observe, document, and report security-related hazards, maintenance issues, and policy violations to property management and Allied Universal supervision.
- Complete detailed reports and logs for patrol activity, incidents, inspections, and tenant requests using written and/or electronic reporting systems.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, access control, and radio communications, and notify appropriate parties of irregular conditions.
- Conduct checks of doors, gates, and other access controls to help to confirm they are secured according to site procedures, and report deficiencies for corrective action.
- Assist with special property needs such as move-ins, deliveries, after-hours access requests, and tenant or visitor escorts as directed by post orders.
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
