Responsibilities- Assist DVMs and credentialed veterinary technicians with appointments, pre‑operative preparations, and minor procedures.
- Assist in surgical procedures and set up for all diagnostic tests.
- Restrain animals safely and efficiently.
- Take accurate vitals, collect medical histories, and note any changes in patient condition.
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples such as fecal, urine, and ear cytology.
- Maintain medical equipment, including laboratory machines, surgical packs, and anesthesia machines.
- Communicate high‑quality client updates and address questions.
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling.
- Strong communication skills, good judgment, and ability to manage stressful situations in a team environment.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
