Your Everyday

• Take the lead: prioritize, coordinate, and delegate all care touchpoints for your patients.

• Evaluate vital signs according to standards of care and monitor life support measures such as advanced heart and respiratory technology.

• Apply knowledge of complex patient conditions, including psychosocial needs.

• Maintain and advocate for a safe environment for everyone.

• Monitor and engage with patients, families, and care team members regarding significant events, condition changes, or concerns.

• Prevent and treat wounds.

• Monitor and adhere to Joint Commission infection control and environment of care standards.

• Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, clear communication, and an exceptional patient experience.

• Collaborate with nursing supervisors and team members to meet patient care needs and address challenges.

• Initiate patient and family education, utilizing appropriate resources and care services.

• Assist team members proactively to support a collaborative environment.

The Must-Haves

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana, as per the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.

• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

• Current ACLS certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
