The Assurance Manager supervises, directs, and reviews audit engagement work, ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfaction. The position also includes marketing, networking, and business development responsibilities to generate new engagements and maintain client relationships.

• Supervise audit planning, field work, and wrap‑up phases, delegating tasks to team members.
• Review work papers, test controls, and document findings to meet audit and financial reporting standards.
• Provide technical guidance on GAAP, GAAS, SEC, and PCAOB requirements, including complex accounting issues.
• Write technical memo’s and client presentations on accounting standards and audit findings.
• Identify and recommend improvements to client internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Support business development through client networking, marketing, and profitability analysis of engagements.
• Train and coach Associates and Senior Associates, providing performance feedback and career development coaching.
• Ensure engagement independence and compliance with firm policies and professional guidelines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of audit experience in public accounting or related services.
• Prior supervisory experience with Associates and Senior Associates.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, SEC, and PCAOB regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and assurance application tools.
• Ability to resolve complex accounting issues and lead client engagement plans.

• Active licensed US CPA required;
  International equivalent acceptable under BDO’s licensing policy.

• Minnesota: $95,000 – $110,000
• New Jersey: $104,000 – $112,000
• NYC/Long Island/Westchester: $110,000 – $150,000
• Ohio: $95,000 – $125,000
• Washington: $95,000 – $115,000
• Washington DC: $105,000 – $128,000
