Your Everyday
  • Demonstrate proficient technical skills and knowledge in use of all ultrasound/sonography equipment, protocols, procedures and producing quality imaging of internal organs.
  • Observe and monitor patient's vital signs.
  • Review physician orders with the Radiologist to ensure the proper examination and diagnostic results.
  • Prepare and review procedure with patient to obtain clinical history/informed consent, educate, ease anxiety, answer questions and address concerns to ensure patient cooperation.
  • Recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action for a positive outcome.
  • Evaluate critical test findings and review anatomic details and abnormalities with radiologists if needed.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and orders as needed.
  • Maintain equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of the patients and employees.
  • Check and inspect the suite, clean and assess equipment daily for physical or mechanical hazards immediately reporting dangerous conditions to the appropriate team member.
  • Maintain appropriate stock supply levels.
  • Demonstrate a satisfactory working knowledge of and the ability to input and verify data in PACS.
  • Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient.
  • Contribute to the team by assisting others without being asked.
    • The Must-Haves

    Minimum:

    • Eligible for Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
    • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
