EMT Basic

Position Overview

LCMC Health is a community dedicated to delivering extraordinary care across Louisiana. You will work as an EMT/B responding to emergency calls, providing advanced medical care, and supporting patient care teams in East Jefferson Parish.

Respond to dispatch information and drive emergency vehicles to designated locations, stabilize and provide first‑aid to ill or injured patients, utilize medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and administer intravenous fluids and CPR as required. Recognize and document any changes in patient condition, maintain and sanitize vehicles and equipment, and use proper PPE.

1 year of EMT Basic experience preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.

• National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as an EMT/B
• Licensed in Louisiana as an EMT/B
• Current Chauffeur’s license or equivalent
• Defensive Driving
• Haz‑Mat
• BCLS Certification
