Employee-owned HDR is seeking qualified individuals to provide project, geographic and technical leadership in our growing coastal engineering and restoration program. Our portfolio of award-winning coastal projects demonstrates the depth and breadth of our team’s expertise across architecture, federal, transportation, and water resources markets. HDR is ranked #5 in ENR's 2025 Top Water Design Firm rankings.

We are seeking qualified coastal engineers with the ability to perform analysis and design of coastal restoration projects including marsh restoration and beach nourishment; shoreline protection projects including revetments and breakwaters; and navigation projects including dredging, marinas, and harbors. Expertise in creating plans and specifications, as well as project management, is a major plus. Familiarity with wave growth and transformation, coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics, littoral processes, sediment transport, marine dredging, and basic geotechnical or structural systems is preferred.
