Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Pipeline Project Engineer to join our Mandeville or Metairie Office Team.

Position Type: Full-time

Overview

  • Seeking an individual to be utilized in a blended role supporting technical and project managerial needs with a concentration in pipelines and storage facilities.
  • Function as part of Keystone s Mandeville or Metairie Office Multi-Discipline Project Team to ensure effective and successful execution of pipeline projects across a diverse Oil & Gas Client base supporting natural gas and liquids, pump stations, compressor stations, metering skids, pigging facilities, and product storage.
  • Performs pipeline engineering tasks, including, but not limited to, basic pipeline engineering calculations involving sizing, hydraulics, pressure drops, wall thickness, etc.
  • Provide direction and oversight to design/drafting staff to develop high-quality design deliverables for construction.
  • Reviews vendor-provided data, documentation, and drawings.
  • Evaluates, selects, and applies appropriate standards, engineering methods, procedures, materials, and installation details.
  • Ensures that pipeline design meets industry best practices, pertinent codes and standards, governing regulations, and client requirements.
  • Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines on design deliverables.
  • Prepares and/or assists with conceptual studies, designs, budgetary estimates, and constructability reviews.
  • Participate in Proposal Development to include confirmation of scope, staffing requirements, extended labor & expense cost estimates, and schedule milestones.
  • Reviews and checks the work of other project team members.
  • Works effectively within established budgets and deadlines.
  • Identifies issues across projects, leads solution development, and ensures solutions are implemented.
  • Conducts/participates in regular team meetings and ensures effective project communications occur, and action items are completed.
  • Work with the Mapping Team to produce alignment drawings and coordinate with regulatory agencies, ROW, environmental, and archeological personnel involved in project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BSME Preferred) from ABET
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in pipeline projects
  • Experience and knowledge of Pipeline industry regulatory codes and standards, such as ASME, API, AWWA, ASTM, and MSS specifications.
  • Specific knowledge of ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, and CFR.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate
