Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Metairie team.

Position Type: Full-time

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary

Occasional site visits are required.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead Engineer will coordinate and assign project scope, manage budget schedule, status, and technical interface issues.
  • Provide leadership for the mechanical engineering team and be a resource within the multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Oversee engineering calculation checking, analyses, and other tasks using prescribed methods and procedures.
  • Organize and lead weekly meetings with clients to update, discuss, and review project needs.
  • Interface with project managers and clients per schedule and team demands.
  • Assist with project control documentation as required, including project design and material/equipment procurement.
  • Review or prepare specifications detailing performance requirements, design data, applicable codes/standards, and vendor drawing requirements.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience delivering engineering solutions for refining, upstream production, and midstream facilities.
  • Expertise in pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II.
  • Strong hydraulics and fluid dynamics background.
