Project Manager - Offshore Brownfield Engineering
Onsite in Metairie, LA. Wood is recruiting for a Brownfield Engineering Project Manager to join its Operations Americas business.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team, inclusive of global execution centers, providing direction, support, and guidance throughout all project phases.
- Establish clear communication channels and reporting mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed of project progress, issues, and milestones.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with project requirements and objectives.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and implementing cost control measures as needed.
- Monitor project schedule and resource utilization, identifying potential delays, conflicts, or bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Conduct site visits as required to validate scope and clarify requirements as required.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and presentations to foster collaboration, resolve conflicts, and drive decision-making.
- Manage change requests, deviations, and variations from the project scope, assessing impacts on schedule, budget, and quality.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, presentations, and documentation to clients, management, and other stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement among project team members.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent combination of qualifications and project management experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years exposure to offshore engineering and construction with brownfield projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering processes, including regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from initiation to closeout.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, global execution centers and managing subcontractors and vendors.
- Willingness to travel offshore and work in challenging environmental conditions as required.
