The Electrical Designer's role supports clients and contractors with factory testing, construction, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities for medium and low voltage electrical power distribution equipment and process instrumentation.

• Create electrical installation details, one-line diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, area classification, and grounding.
• Size and specify electrical equipment including raceways, fittings, panels, conductors, terminations, etc.
• Walk down a site, collecting all necessary information to perform design work.
• Troubleshoot and commission medium voltage electrical equipment.
• Collaborate with a design team of engineers and drafters to produce a complete drawing installation package.

• 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Designer
• Experience with electrical area classification
• Programming experience in any of these areas:
  Reclosers, Protective relays and/or PLC's

• Field experience with medium voltage (2.5kV and above) electrical equipment such as switch gear, motor control centers, transformers
• Practical field experience with the installation of medium voltage electrical equipment
• Field experiences commissioning and/or troubleshooting medium voltage electrical equipment.
• Practical field experience routing cable
• Familiar with NEC and other electrical-related codes and standards
• Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD
