Key Responsibilities
Answers incoming phone calls. Direct caller to appropriate department or individual or takes a thorough message.
- Customer Intake:
Greet guests as they arrive at the service department and determine the nature of the visit. - Sheduling:
Book and manage service appointments for customers and staff. - Communication:
Communicates with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly and efficient manner. - Translate customer concerns into repair orders for technicians and notify team members when customers have arrived.
- Information Source:
Provide basic information on dealership policies, procedures, and service status.
Communicate messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Assists with clerical duties as requested.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a drug screen and a background check.
QualificationsEducation:
A High School Diploma or GED. Able to communicate in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency:
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Dealership Management Systems (DMS) like ADP and CDK. - Math
Skills:
Ability to calculate discounts, interest, percentages, and accurately count cash.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, "cherry" disposition, and strong conflict de-escalation for handling upset clients.
Physical DemandsThe role often requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods and are expected to maintain a professional appearance as they represent the dealership.
