St. Martin’s Episcopal School is seeking Afternoon Aftercare Counselors to work in our George Cottage Summer Camp, serving children 8 weeks through 4 years old.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and is looking for a consistent afternoon schedule during the summer.

Monday–Friday - Hours:
3:00 – 5:30 p.m. - Location:
Metairie, Louisiana - Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from campus
The Role
George Cottage is the early childhood division of St. Martin’s Episcopal School. Aftercare Counselors support our afternoon program by providing supervision, care, and a calm, nurturing environment as campers transition to the end of their day.
This position involves direct interaction with children, collaboration with camp staff, communication with parents/caregivers, and adherence to state health and licensing requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and care for children ages 8 weeks through 4 years
- Support daily caregiving routines, including diapering and feeding
- Maintain a safe, warm, and engaging environment
- Interact professionally and positively with parents and caregivers during pick-up
- Follow all George Cottage, St. Martin’s Episcopal School, and state licensing guidelines
- Work collaboratively with camp staff to support a smooth afternoon program
- Experience working with children (camp, childcare, babysitting, etc.) preferred
- Comfortable with supervision and hands-on caregiving
- CPR and First Aid certification required
