Performs a wide range of administrative support activities to facilitate the efficient post-award administration of a federally funded Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) grant subaward for fiber-optic installation projects throughout the state.
- Support compliance with BEAD Program, State Broadband Office, and Subaward Agreement requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track compliance obligations, deadlines, and documentation related to EHP/NEPA, BABA, labor standards, low-cost service, and performance requirements.
- Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready project records in accordance with 2 CFR Part 200 and BEAD retention requirements.
- Collect, coordinate, and verify compliance documentation and data from engineering, construction, finance, and project teams.
- Assist with preparation and submission of required compliance and progress reports through designated reporting platforms.
- Support internal reviews, milestone readiness, audits, and monitoring activities, and elevate potential compliance issues as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of post-award grant management processes for federal and state-funded grant awards is preferred.
- Experience with accounts payable, data entry, or bookkeeping preferred.
- Familiarity with regulated project environments and documentation standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured compliance framework.
- Ability to interpret and understand federal and state grant regulations (e.g., OMB Circulars, Uniform Guidance).
- Strong organizational and document management skills with attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of grant compliance concepts and reporting processes.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple functional teams and stakeholders.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with document management systems, spreadsheets, and compliance or reporting platforms.
- Ability to identify potential compliance risks and elevate issues appropriately.
- Time management and prioritization skills in deadline-driven environments.
- Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Operate office equipment requiring repetitive fine motor skills including keyboarding and typing. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
