Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Metairie, Louisiana. This is a short-term contract to permanent position, offering a chance to grow within a dynamic and supportive work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in bookkeeping and accounting functions, including proficiency with Quick Books and managing financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts.

- Utilize Quick Books software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

- Handle accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.

- Oversee accounts receivable operations, including tracking payments and maintaining customer account information.

- Monitor and manage donation funds, ensuring proper allocation and reporting.

- Process foundation grants, maintaining compliance with organizational and donor requirements.

- Prepare financial statements and reports for internal review and external audits.

- Maintain organized and secure financial documentation for easy retrieval.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline financial workflows and processes.

- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations in all financial activities.

Requirements - Proven experience in full charge bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.

- Proficiency in Quick Books for managing financial data and transactions.

- Demonstrated expertise in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Familiarity with managing donations and foundation grants.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and statements.

- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

- Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
