Sr. Accountant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Metairie, Louisiana. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail and expertise in full-cycle accounting processes, including month-end close and account reconciliations. The role offers an opportunity to work with advanced integrated accounting systems and contribute to inventory management and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

- Manage full-cycle accounting tasks, including month-end close processes, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Ensure accuracy in financial records through detailed account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.

- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.

- Utilize accounting software such as Net Suite to streamline reporting and operational efficiency.

- Provide support for inventory accounting and ensure proper tracking of inventory-related transactions.

- Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses to assist in decision-making processes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting operations.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.

- Stay updated on industry trends and accounting best practices to maintain high performance.

Requirements

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, including full-cycle processes.

- Proficiency in month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Strong skills in general ledger and bank reconciliation management.

- Familiarity with accounting systems such as Net Suite is preferred.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills for collaboration with various stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
