Inventory Control Lead – RJW Logistics Group
Shift: Sun‑Wed 05:00‑15:30
Compensation: $21.00
Job Purpose: The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of workers who inventory materialsരെ supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in the stockroom, warehouse, or yard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain the layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors.
- Study records and recommend remedial actions for reported non‑usable, slow‑moving, and excess stock.
- Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures to determine adequacy of stock levels.
- Schedule work for special and periodic inventories.
- Prepare composite reports from individual reports of Inventory Specialists.
- Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock‑control records, and recommend remedial actions.
- Issue written or oral instructions and expedite workflow with team members.
- Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Other tasks as assigned by manager.
- Travel to assist other facilities and have reliable transportation.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.
- Use computer terminal to account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training in inventory control.
- Minimum 1–2 years of related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
- Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
- Experience using WMS software (Synapse preferred).
- Working knowledge of inventory control practices, KPI reporting, cycle‑count programs, and product rotation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access databases.
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence.
- Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.
- Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measuremuştur, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent, and interpret bar graphs.
- Solve practical problems with limited standardization.
- Interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Diagnose root causes of കേരള problems and determine corrective action.
- Knowledge of business operating systems, Internet software, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
- Occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently.
- Operate phone systems with keyboards and buttons.
- Speak andprä communicate clearly over telephone.
- Work in indoor or office environment; required to sit and use repetitive hand motions.
- Work under stressful situations, maintain accuracy, and concentrate on multiple tasks.
- Maintain 20/20 corrected vision to read visual media.
- In reasonable physical health per licensed physician assessment; no evidence of controlled substance use.
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles; noise ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
Employment‑At‑Will: This position is at-will. No fixed-term employment unless covered by a written agreement authorized in writing by the company’s CEO or Board of Directors.
