Warehouse Receiving Supervisor

We have a challenging and exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Receiving Supervisor who is energetic, can multi-task and problem solve, and has the drive and motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced setting in an expanding business.

Manages warehouse organization and the verification of incoming materials and placement in the correct locations. Supervise material handling personnel and direct training program to fully train staff. Oversee daily activities of receiving to ensure safe and accurate storage and retrieval of inventory.

• Supervise warehousing and storage of all raw materials.
• Establish and adjust work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and work flow.
• Ensures warehouse organization and cleanliness are maintained.
• Ensures all incoming materials are verified, identified, and placed in the appropriate location.
• Oversee the unloading of delivery trucks by forklift, pallet jack, handcart, or by hand as needed.
• Continuously improve warehouse operations through the use of lean enterprise practices.
• Directly supervise permanent and temporarily hired material handlers and receiving clerks.
• Manage time-off and vacation approvals to meet workload requirements.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with minimum of 3 years of experience as a warehouse supervisor.
• Knowledge of computerized inventory and tracking systems.
• Knowledge of Bar Coding System.
• Experience working with transportation management systems and/or other system software applications.
• Competent with MS Excel and Microsoft Office/Outlook.
• Plan, organize and meet deadlines and schedules.
• Ability to navigate frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common shipping documentation requirements.
• Must be capable of defining problems, collecting and analyzing data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.

• Background in space/flow planning for material handling, purchasing and stock control.

High School diploma or GED required.
