Reports To: Shift Leaders, Assistant Managers and General Managers
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Sets up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Ensures all foods are prepared according to guidelines using only approved ingredients and processes
- Handles raw chicken in a safe manner at all times and prevents cross contamination
- Fries and bakes chicken
- Will work around hot oil and must closely follow all safety policies
- Safely utilizes a variety of utensils and cooking equipment
- Complies with established cooking methods, quality standards and food safety policies/practices
- Follows all chemical safety guidelines
- Discards ingredients/products that have expired or do not meet quality standards
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products
- Looks for opportunities to assist fellow team members in an enthusiastic manner
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCELess than high school education, GED, or high school degree
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to comprehend simple instructions.
COMPUTER SKILLSNo skills are required.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust obtain State Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat from cooking equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employees will be expected to purchase non-slip shoes due to wet, slippery floors and can purchase through the company at a discount.
