Base pay range

$15.00/hr – $20.00/hr actual pay is based on skills and experience.

Shift Supervisor is a critical member of the operations team at Genghis Grill. You will oversee the overall shift operation of the restaurant, ensuring team performance, increased sales and profitability, effective cost controls, training and development, and employee retention.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Promote the company's mission, vision, and values.
  • Run and manage shifts effectively focusing on your assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and implement recovery strategies.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the team.
  • Deliver a quality product and experience based on brand standards and operating procedures.
  • Conduct effective pre‑shift meetings.
  • Enforce company HR policies and food safety policies in compliance with FDA and Health Department regulations.
Qualifications
  • Strong leadership skills to train, coach, develop and motivate others.
  • Ability to make critical decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, speaking, and public speaking.
  • Exceptional organizational and operational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with tact and professionalism when dealing with staff, customers, and management.
  • Financial skills, including calculating food and labor costs and knowledge of cost‑controlling measures.
Physical Requirements
  • Speak clearly and listen attentively to employees and guests.
  • Read and write efficiently to facilitate communication.
  • Stand and move well‑paced for up to four hours during a shift.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Workplace may expose team members to heat/cold and odors.
Education and Experience
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 5 years in high‑volume, full‑service restaurant food operations.
  • Valid Serv Safe certification.
  • Detailed knowledge of county, state, and federal health codes.
  • Knowledge of basic employment laws and regulations.
  • Some Spanish language knowledge is a plus.
  • Minimum high school education; college degree preferred.
Verbal and Reasoning Requirements

Must be able to speak clearly, listen attentively, engage in two‑way conversations with customers, follow verbal and written instructions, apply common sense, and understand and adhere to service standards.
