Med/Surg Director, Nursing Management, RN

Director of Med/Surg will be responsible for the direction of patient care in the medical surgical setting and the overall operation of the Medical Surgical Unit. The role involves managing staff members, consulting with staff, physicians, and the Nurse Executive on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Duties include maintaining performance improvement activities within the department, participating in CQI activities, and assisting in the formulation of the unit budget.

Clinical coverage primarily serves adults eighteen years of age and older, with occasional care for adolescents, pediatrics, and infants.

• Current state Registered Nurse licensure
• 3 or more years of experience in all aspects of medical surgical nursing
• Director experience in Med/Surg with budgeting, staffing, hiring, CQI, and all age populations
• MSN degree
• BLS certification
