The Director of Med/Surg will be responsible for overseeing patient care in the medical-surgical setting. The healthcare organization is located in beautiful North Texas and is very progressive.
The Director manages staff in the Medical Surgical Unit, consulting with staff, physicians, and the Nurse Executive on nursing issues and hospital policies to meet patient needs. Responsibilities include maintaining performance improvement activities within the department and participating in CQI initiatives. The role involves assisting in budget formulation. Clients are primarily adults aged 18 and older; occasionally, adolescents, pediatrics, and infants are also seen.
Qualifications:- Current state Registered Nurse Licensure
- 3 or more years of experience in all aspects of medical-surgical nursing
- Director experience in Med/Surg, including budgeting, staffing, hiring, CQI, and working with all age populations
- MSN preferred
- BLS certification required
