We are seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN), sometimes referred to as a Telemetry RN or Tele RN. A Tele RN specializes in attending to patients in our telemetry units, including those needing cardiac monitoring. The Tele RN will monitor and interpret vital signs such as heart rate, heart rhythm, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation level. Continuous monitoring enables real-time data gathering to make informed decisions, ensuring early detection of abnormalities or changes in patient condition.

This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX

• Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans
• Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment for remote monitoring
• Communicate with physicians about changes in clinical condition, diagnostic results, and symptoms
• Administer medications as prescribed, including IV medications, and monitor for adverse reactions
• Provide hands-on care, including wound care, treatments, assistance with activities of daily living, and emotional support
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care practices
• Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions and communicate concerns to physicians
• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Must have:

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS certification

Preferred additional qualifications:

• Current ACLS certification (preferred)
• Previous acute care hospital experience
• Ventilator management experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred)
