Director of Operations

J&R Manufacturing is a $5–10M engineered-to-order fabrication company with steady top-line growth and meaningful EBITDA expansion.

We build premium live-fire cooking equipment. We fabricate steel. We real product. And we expect operational discipline.

We are hiring a Director of Operations to own operational performance.

This role reports directly to the President and carries full responsibility for operations strategy, execution, gross margin performance, and EBITDA results.

If you want responsibility without accountability, this is not the role.

• All shop operations (Shop Supervisor + ~15 employees)
• Procurement and material cost control
• Production scheduling and capacity planning
• Labor efficiency and throughput
• Gross margin performance
• Operations budget development and management
  
  EBITDA performance driven through operational execution
• Full operational P&L accountability
• Executive and board-level reporting

You will be expected to understand how daily operational decisions impact gross margin and how margin flows to EBITDA.

• Strong manufacturing or fabrication leadership background
• Experience leading 10–25 employees
• Ability to read and manage against an income statement
• Clear understanding of labor absorption, material variance, and margin control
• Discipline in scheduling and cost management
• Ability to build systems and enforce accountability
• Calm, direct leadership under pressure

You must be comfortable in a fabrication environment and comfortable discussing financial performance at the executive level.

Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive compensation tied directly to EBITDA performance.

Total compensation potential: $150,000–$200,000
