EMPLOYMENT DATE TO BE DETERMINED
PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To serve the athletic process by performing one of the many assignments necessary to facilitate an athletic event for the Mesquite ISD including, but not limited to: ticket seller, ticket taker/gatekeeper, pass gate, press box supervisor, clock operator, scoreboard operator, timer, technology assistance, announcer, spotter, starter, stadium manager, event supervisor, parking monitor, security, referee/official, field prep, concession worker, and other positions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or GED preferred

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Provide excellent, accurate, and timely customer service to the patrons at all events
Ability to interface with the general public, district employees and members of law enforcement
Ability to maintain a pleasant demeanor at all times
Must be flexible and have the ability to work extended hours as needed
Must be able to work outside as necessary
Basic math skills

EXPERIENCE:

Directly related experience preferred

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Responsibilities range from event oversight, cash management, monitoring, ticket selling and handling, gate personnel, officiating games, maintaining the scorebook, scoreboard operator, announcer/spotter, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Mental Demands:

Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem solving skills while under stress
Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Should be able to interpret procedures and analyze data for decision making

Physical demands/environmental factors:

Occasional prolonged and irregular hours
Frequent movement inside and outside of the facilities
Duties are performed indoors and outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time
Noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud
May occasionally be required, due to demands and event operations, to lift and/and or move up to 45-50 lbs.
