• The Patient Care Technician performs routine duties within the limits of documented training for the emergency department and other patient care areas, as needed.
• The care is rendered under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Facilitates the information and activity flow to and from the nursing unit; assists in answering phones, taking messages, making phone calls, faxing orders, etc.
• Will also be competent to monitor telemetry and report cardiac rhythm changes to the nursing staff for further investigation when indicated.
• Will have good customer service, computer and organizational skills.
• All other duties as assigned that are within the scope of practice.

• BLS required.
• IV course certification of Advanced EMT certification.
• Telemetry Tech Training required within 6 months of hire.
