Bilingual Spanish/English Debt Collections Rep

- Shifts available – Monday–Friday, 10am–7pm CST

The bilingual Spanish/English medical debt collections representative will perform collection follow‑up with patients on delinquent and/or non‑delinquent accounts for medical providers in a high‑volume call center environment. The collections specialist will utilize excellent communication and customer service skills to resolve patient accounts.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Assist patients in the resolution of outstanding payments from past‑due accounts
- Identify problem accounts and elevate as appropriate
- Update the patient record to reflect actions taken on the account
- Achieve monthly department collection goals
- Maintain minimum production standards
- Achieve quality‑assurance scores that meet department requirements
- Work within company attendance guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service during all interactions
- Perform all responsibilities in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Comply with HIPAA rules and regulations to protect sensitive or confidential information
- Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor
- Additional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations as specified in the addendum

Education- High School Diploma required
- 1–2 years of related experience
- Transferable skills/experience beneficial but not required
- Ability to multitask within multiple channels of technology
- General computer skills with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and email applications
- Detail oriented with good analytical and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work cohesively within a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and all levels of management
