What You ll Do- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant and equipment HVAC systems: chillers, split units, package and appliance refrigeration systems
- Inspect and perform daily maintenance on all HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and chillers
- Performs necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments and calibration procedures, assemble, install, test and execute preventative maintenance tasks on various forms of manufacturing equipment
- Works with related diagnostic equipment including digital multimeter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools
- Maintain thorough and working knowledge/understanding of brazing, soldering, mechanical, electrical systems/components and how they operate
- Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues and safely implement predictive, preventive, and corrective measures to ensure asset reliability
- Works with related diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeter, multi- meter, refrigerant recovery units, and vacuum pumps
- Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root cause
- Use SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, utilize computers to acquire information, documentation, account for time and corrective actions
- Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Monitor and inspect equipment for defects. Properly remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, overhead cranes, hand, and power tools
- Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration trade practices
- Able to communicate effectively with appropriate departments/individuals. Thorough understanding of applicable devices in the facility
- Work safely to prevent on the job injuries by following safety rules and regulations at all times including proper wearing of company PPE
- Assist ARP Planners with scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activities
- Exercise judgement when troubleshooting AC motor controls, electrical drives, and all high voltage systems, keeping them all up to the site voltage maximums. Able to understand electrical/electronical schematics
- Maintains specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage
- Provides technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed
- Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area
- Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration trade practices
- Experience with refrigerant controls (metering devices) and motor controls (contractors, starters, relays, disconnects, thermostats, etc.)
- Electrical controls maintenance and repair proficiency
- Experience with electric motors, including three phase motors
- Knowledge of trouble shooting electrical circuits and the ability to use multi-meters and other basic electrical test equipment
