WhatYou’ll Do
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant and equipment HVAC systems: chillers, split units, package and appliance refrigeration systems
- Inspect and perform daily maintenance on all HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and chillers
- Perform necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments and calibration procedures, assemble, install, test and execute preventative maintenance tasks on various forms of manufacturing equipment
- Work with diagnostic equipment including digital multimeter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools
- Maintain thorough working knowledge of brazing, soldering, mechanical, electrical systems and components
- Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues and safely implement predictive, preventive, and corrective measures to ensure asset reliability
- Use SAP maintenance module for duty execution, documentation, and time accounting
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Monitor and inspect equipment for defects; remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, overhead cranes, hand and power tools
- Assist ARP Planners with scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activities
- Exercise judgment when troubleshooting AC motor controls, electrical drives, and all high voltage systems, keeping them within site voltage maximums
- Maintain records of work performed, repair details, and material usage
- Provide technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed
- Perform daily housekeeping duties in the work area
- Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration trade practices
- Experience with refrigerant controls (metering devices) and motor controls (contractors, starters, relays, disconnects, thermostats, etc.)
- Electrical controls maintenance and repair proficiency
- Experience with electric motors, including three‑phase motors
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and use multi‑meters and basic electrical test equipment
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend and work at heights for extended periods in extreme temperatures
- Use of precision measurement instruments
- Inspect and perform daily maintenance on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC systems, PLC networks, and cranes
- Install HVAC and electrical equipment
- Function in a fast‑paced environment
- Think logically, analytically and solve problems
- AC/DC troubleshooting experience required
- Demonstrate electrical and mechanical maintenance principles, concepts, and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Thorough understanding of electrical safe work practices
- Endure frequent physical activity throughout shifts
- High School Diploma or GED required
