Overview

Embark on a transformative journey as a Registered Nurse specializing in Interventional Radiology (IR) in Mesa, Arizona. This dynamic assignment, slated to begin on 02/23/2026, invites you to bring your clinical finesse to the IR suite, where precise patient assessment, comfort, and teamwork drive outcomes. In IR, you’ll pre-screen and prepare patients for procedures, assist radiologists with catheter-based interventions, maintain sterile technique, monitor sedation and vital signs, and deliver focused post-procedure recovery and education.

You’ll partner with a multidisciplinary team to minimize risk, optimize flow through the lab, and advocate for patient dignity and safety. If you thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments and pride yourself on meticulous documentation and compassionate care, this opportunity was made for you. This assignment spans several weeks, with guaranteed hours and a competitive weekly pay range that reflects the value you bring to both patients and the facility.

Mesa sits in the eastern edge of the Phoenix metro area, blending a growing healthcare ecosystem with a welcoming community vibe. You’ll enjoy access to a robust hospital network, professional development opportunities, and a lifestyle that makes the most of year-round sunshine. The city’s amenities—from scenic parks and outdoor venues to a surprising variety of culinary and cultural scenes—create a balanced environment for clinical excellence and personal well-being.

For travel-minded professionals, this role offers exposure to different units within IR and the possibility to extend your assignment or relocate to other U.S. locations through the same program, broadening your professional horizons while maintaining a steady, predictable schedule.

Arizona’s beauty deserves a separate celebration. Picture red-hued desert landscapes framed by clear blue skies, the dramatic geology of the Sonoran Desert, and easy day trips to iconic places like Sedona’s red rocks, Saguaro National Park’s towering cacti silhouettes, and the unforgettable vistas around the Grand Canyon. Whether you’re off the clock or between cases, the state invites exploration—the kind of environment that inspires focus at work and recharge at every turn.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, sterile preparation, and real-time intra-procedure support for IR interventions, including vascular and non-vascular catheter-based therapies.
  • Monitor patients throughout recovery, manage post-anesthesia care, communicate critical findings to physicians, and ensure precise documentation of procedures, medications, and outcomes.
  • Champion patient safety, pain management, and education, delivering clear discharge instructions and follow-up plans that empower patients to participate in their own recovery.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and ancillary teams to streamline workflow, optimize room turnover, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient advocacy.
  • Seek ongoing professional development within interventional radiology, expanding competency across devices, techniques, and post-procedure surveillance to advance within the IR specialty.
  • Benefit from a competitive compensation package with a weekly pay range of $2,566-$2,786, plus guaranteed hours of 30 per week, ensuring financial predictability while you deliver excellent patient care.
  • Access a sign-on bonus or completion incentive, housing assistance to reduce relocation costs, and extension opportunities that allow you to continue growing with the same supportive employer.
  • Rely on 24/7 support from a dedicated corporate team while you travel, solving on-the-ground challenges quickly and keeping you focused on clinical excellence and patient outcomes.
