Banner Health is a health care provider focused on making health care easier and life better. This PRN position provides varied shifts and does not require call.

This RN role prepares and recovers patients who have undergone Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology procedures. The CARS RN also supports TEE and Nuclear Medicine Stress Test and provides recovering care for anesthesia patients if anesthesia was required. Cath Lab procedures include all structural heart procedures (e.g., TAVR, Watchman, Mitra Clip), diagnostic and interventional cardiology, and EP procedures. Interventional Radiology includes biopsies, Port-a-Cath placement, angiograms, and diagnostic neurology.

The RN must have NIHSS and experience in a procedural area performing preop and postoperative recovery with general anesthesia and moderate sedation. This is a PRN position with varied Monday through Friday shifts between 6:00am-6:30pm or 8:00am-8:30pm (no call requirement).

Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and do not include a medical benefits package.

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs; review patient history and physical with patient/family; assess data and collaborate with the health care team; document assessments and plans within policy timelines.
• Formulate and initiate a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on patient needs and medical plan; collaborate with patient/family and multidisciplinary team; revise plans as patient status changes.
• Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the health care team; follow physician orders and policies; communicate patient status to caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching; adjust the plan of care as needed to achieve goals and outcomes.
• Document all aspects of care in the patient record; ensure documentation is timely, accurate and compliant with policy.
• Contribute to evidence-based practice and participate in unit or facility quality initiatives; support the education and orientation of facility personnel, patients, families and visitors.
• Interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts to coordinate care and support the human response to health status changes.

Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, a temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or a compact RN licensure for the current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

Experience in the clinical area applied for is preferred. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience, including the past 12 months in the specialty area. Home Health may require operation of a personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Fingerprint clearance or background checks may be required depending on facility and program.

Bachelor's degree is preferred. Professional certification is preferred.
