Terros Health is hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for our University Health Center location in Mesa.

Salary Range:
Post MSN: $130K- $155K;
Dual Certified FNP/PMHNP: $148K-$160K; DNP: $158K-$160K (Depending on Years of Experience)

Additional Language Differential Pay Available:
Spanish,Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, Swahili or ASL: $3/hour ($6240 annually)

The PMHNP serves as an active member of the site clinical team working collaboratively on the delivery of clinical care. Provides direct psychiatric care of assigned clients and program activities, facilitates team work for outpatient services, conducts psychiatric evaluations and medication monitoring and individual treatment and case consultation of patients. Participates in program evaluation procedures and professional record keeping, and makes referrals appropriately.

Additional duties include:

  • Completes initial psychiatric assessments, progress notes, annual psychiatric updates, family interventions. Documentation shall be on approved forms and within the same day of service.
  • Develops differential diagnostic assessments, assessments of capacity for consent to treatment, risk assessments, patient education, and progress towards treatment goals including medical, psychological, social, behavioral and developmental aspects of the member’s situation.
  • Documents patient’s progress with delivery service expectation of 6 hours face-to-face time per 8-hour work day, or 8 hours face-to-face time per 10-hour work day.
  • Orders follow-up blood levels and other lab tests according to standard medical practice, obtains a past and current medical history
  • Initiates contact with PCP, ED clinicians, and therapists according to established guidelines, to provide whole health integrated care
  • Provides psychopharmacological treatment in alignment with patient’s treatment plan; appropriate follow-up of patient’s symptoms and response to medications, including side effects. Utilizes appropriate medication based on best practices, in addition to appropriately completing required documentation for preauthorization of pharmacy services. Completes medication education and informed consent.
  • Routinely assesses patient’s need for ACT services, using explicit criteria to determine need to transfer to less intensive services. Conducts home and community visits as required by ACT fidelity measures.
  • Assess patient’s needs and guides the clinical team while managing crisis and treatment plan updates. Collaborates with nurses and medical assistants.
  • Educates non-medical staff on psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications, their side effects, and health-related conditions.
  • Provides psychiatric back-up to the program after-hours and weekends on a rotating basis with other psychiatric care providers who share on-call; will have access to consumers’ current status and medical records/current medications.
