Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description
The Inventory Control Clerk plays a pivotal role in ensuring accurate inventory management by maintaining records, performing transactions, supporting audits, and aiding in cycle counting and reconciliation. This position demands strong inventory control fundamentals, computer proficiency, and experience with ERP/WMS systems.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform system transactions including receipts, issues, and transfers.
- Assist with cycle counting and reconciliation activities; document findings and adhere to procedures.
- Investigate variances and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve root causes.
- Support inventory status control, including available, hold, and quarantine statuses, as well as lot and expiration tracking.
- Generate routine inventory reports and track key inventory KPIs such as accuracy, adjustments, and variances.
- Ensure proper labeling, location control, and documentation for traceability.
- Support physical inventory counts and audit preparation.
- Follow GMP, safety, and company policies.
- 1–3+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel, reporting, and scanning systems.
- Inventory control experience, including lot control, counts, and variance investigation.
- Experience with ERP and/or WMS systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in cosmetics/personal care, food grade, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with RF scanners, barcoding, and inventory accuracy programs.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
