PGS Worldwide is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Mesa, AZ for a 6 month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role performs manufacturing operations supporting gun system assemblies, including subassemblies and top-level builds, rework, and quality testing. You will work with engineers on setup and calibration tasks, operate industrial equipment as needed, follow detailed procedures, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 2 years of experience working on manufacturing assemblies

  • U.S. citizenship

  • Ability to interpret blueprints

  • Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and work instructions and collect/record data as required

  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 40 lbs

  • Ability to obtain coverage under the Safe Explosives Act as an employee possessor/responsible person upon starting (as stated)

  • Ability to work Mon–Thu 5:00 AM–3:30 PM (4/10) and work overtime and some weekends as needed

Preferred Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude/mechanical background

  • Experience reading prints

  • Experience with Costpoint, MES, or similar programs

What You’ll Do

  • Perform assembly operations of gun systems in a team or individual environment

  • Assemble subassemblies and top-level assemblies for gun systems

  • Support engineers with setup and calibration tasks

  • Conduct rework and quality testing as required

  • Operate industrial equipment such as cranes and forklifts as needed

  • Use precision measuring equipment to verify positioning during bonding operations

  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and follow established procedures

  • Participate in team activities supporting safety, quality, cost, and schedule improvements

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Mon–Thu 5:00 AM–3:30 PM (4/10), with overtime and some weekends as needed
