Production Team Leader Job Description
The Production Team Leader is responsible for leading and developing production operators while ensuring production goals and operational metrics are consistently met. This role is instrumental in fostering a lean manufacturing culture focused on efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Assign tasks and monitor team member performance.
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities.
- Ensure production schedules are met and adjust resources as needed.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize production flow.
- Enforce safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate production, downtime, and performance records and support standard work processes.
- Identify and resolve quality-related manufacturing issues.
- Communicate production status and performance updates to stakeholders.
- Experience as a Production Leader or similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
- 1–2 years of experience wiring industrial control panels and equipment.
- Proficiency in ERP/MES systems (Odoo, Epicor, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality assurance tools.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in panel manufacturing, harness manufacturing, electrical assembly, or related field preferred.
- Intermediate skill in reading specifications, blueprints, parts lists, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Understanding of electrical fundamentals and knowledge of electrical controls components.
- Ability to perform electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Intermediate to advanced skill in the use of common hand tools, with specialized tools used in control panel construction preferred.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
