Composite Technician

Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor manufacturing and supporting shoulder‑fired systems, energetic material solutions, and composite solutions.

• Monday‑Thursday work week, four 10‑hour days
• Off on Fridays

• Assist in the development and optimization of the production of composite tubes
• Fabricate and cure carbon fiber composite tubes
• Build laminated assemblies in a filament winding operation, apply composite, plastic and metal parts and adhesives onto tools or molds
• Troubleshoot equipment, monitor process parameters, adjust equipment settings to meet drawings and internal requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Set up spray booths to apply etching and primer compound to tubes
• Load/unload winding machine mandrels into oven, run cure cycles, de‑mold
• Operate compression test machine to verify proof loads
• Run daily production quantities
• Recognize and report all operational variances as trained
• Use a computer and database to download work instructions
• Use precision measuring tools, e.g., micrometers, calipers, depth gauges

• High School diploma or GED required
• 1‑3 years of experience in manufacturing and processing of advanced composite materials preferred
• Ability to interact and communicate as part of a highly functioning team
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Ability to obtain BATF approval to work with our products
• Proof of U.S. Person status must be shown before employment may begin (U.S. Export Control laws)
