Overview
Composite Technician
Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor manufacturing and supporting shoulder‑fired systems, energetic material solutions, and composite solutions.

- Assist in the development and optimization of the production of composite tubes
- Fabricate and cure carbon fiber composite tubes
- Build laminated assemblies in a filament winding operation, apply composite, plastic and metal parts and adhesives onto tools or molds
- Troubleshoot equipment, monitor process parameters, adjust equipment settings to meet drawings and internal requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Set up spray booths to apply etching and primer compound to tubes
- Load/unload winding machine mandrels into oven, run cure cycles, de‑mold
- Operate compression test machine to verify proof loads
- Run daily production quantities
- Recognize and report all operational variances as trained
- Use a computer and database to download work instructions
- Use precision measuring tools, e.g., micrometers, calipers, depth gauges
- High School diploma or GED required
- 1‑3 years of experience in manufacturing and processing of advanced composite materials preferred
- Ability to interact and communicate as part of a highly functioning team
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Ability to obtain BATF approval to work with our products
- Proof of U.S. Person status must be shown before employment may begin (U.S. Export Control laws)
