We are seeking an Assistant Engine Technician to support senior technicians in the maintenance, inspection, cleaning, and repair of Rolls‑Royce M250 and RR300 engines. This is a hands‑on, entry‑level role designed for individuals looking to build a long‑term career in turbine engine maintenance.
You will gain direct exposure to engine R&O processes, tooling, documentation, and safety standards while working under the guidance of experienced professionals in an FAA‑certified repair environment. This position is well suited for an aspiring Aviation Powerplant Technician who values precision, teamwork, and learning the craft the right way from the start.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist senior technicians with disassembly, inspection, repair, and assembly of M250 and RR300 engines and modules.
- Support troubleshooting and routine maintenance tasks.
- Clean engine components using approved processes, equipment, and PPE.
- Help conduct dimensional inspections and learn to interpret results.
- Assist with documentation following FAA and company requirements.
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safety compliant.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report parts usage as directed.
- Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Follow all company, OSHA, and FAA safety regulations and procedures.
- Wear and maintain proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report unsafe conditions, hazards, or injuries to management immediately.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and promote a culture of workplace safety.
- Handle hazardous materials according to established guidelines.
- Stay current with emergency procedures and fire prevention practices.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn turbine engine maintenance.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Powerplant Certificate is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Prior exposure to aviation maintenance or an MRO environment is a plus.
