Job SummaryThe Quality Supervisor oversees a team of Quality Training Specialists to execute the activities required to meet IES training and quality standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Work closely with Quality Manager to establish the company's quality procedures, standards and specifications for all business units.
- Define and train quality procedures to team and operations staff.
- Review reports done by team to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Ensure that manufacturers' specifications are met.
- Proactively look for ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
- Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing data and recommendations.
- Make suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them.
- Use relevant quality tools to make sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business.
- Monitor team to confirm we are working as effectively as possible.
- Be a customer advocate.
- Mentor team members to achieve goals; professional and personal.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Min USD $80.00 / Yr. Max USD $100.00 / Hr.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years training experience or related role.
- Minimum of five (5) years project management experience in telecommunications, electrical or a related technical or construction field.
- Prefer BICSI trainer certification. BICSI Technician certification also preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of job costing, job planning, quality management, safety training and contract administration.
- Working knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications.
- Skilled in numerical and statistical analysis.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project).
- Must meet company minimum driving standards.
- Estimated 50% travel. Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
- Must be able to learn and teach company and customer project management systems.
- Must promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
- Must possess proven problem‑solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentations.
- Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
- Must be self‑motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop, implement and review project process improvement(s).
Prefer BICSI trainer certification. - Must be able to use hand and power tools, climb ladders, lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work a non‑standard work schedule as required to provide job, team or individual specific training.
- Must have proficiency with adult learning theory and instructional design (preferred).
- Operate as a team member of management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Lead by positive example on policy, quality, safety, employee, ethical, and customer satisfaction attitude.
- Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
