Overview

Join Verra Mobility as a Senior Counsel and work in a dynamic legal team that partners closely with innovative business teams. The role reports to the Associate General Counsel and provides broad‑based legal support across a wide range of subject matters, driving growth and success for the company in a fast‑paced environment.

The successful individual will work independently, leading a high volume of legal assignments and complex, cross‑functional initiatives. Responsibilities include drafting, negotiating, and managing customer contracts, commercial partnership agreements, licensing agreements, channel marketing agreements, and complex vendor agreements; advising on and optimizing legal risk, product, commercial, and compliance considerations; operating as first‑level review of privacy policies, terms, and user agreements; proactively identifying emerging legal and regulatory issues;

creating and updating template agreements; collaborating with IP counsel on patent and IP matters; assisting with mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions; managing outside counsel; developing strong collaborative relationships; supporting day‑to‑day legal management; and supporting special projects.

• JD from an accredited law school and in good standing with a state bar association;
• 5+ years as a practicing attorney with an emphasis on contracting matters and/or prior experience as in‑house product counsel at a technology‑focused organization;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal issues in a simple, understandable manner with colleagues of varying legal knowledge across the company;
• Ability to work well in time‑sensitive situations and fast‑paced environments, effectively managing multiple projects or matters with competing deadlines;
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills;
• Solid business instinct and judgment;
• High degree of organization and efficiency with demonstrated attention to detail;
• Strong collaborative skills and proven team orientation;
• Personal integrity, sound judgment, and strong ethics in business and personal conduct;
• Enthusiasm, energy, and motivation to contribute and thrive in a growing company where roles continually adapt as the company evolves;

• Experience as an in‑house attorney.
