As part of this expansion, we are seeking a Sr. Analyst, Data Governance & Analytics
Role SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented Data Governance & Analytics Analyst to serve as the guardian of our data integrity and the architect of our business insights. In this role, you won't just be building dashboards; you’ll be ensuring that every metric displayed is backed by a transparent, high-quality, and governed data pipeline.

You will design and maintain data lineage models, data quality checks, metadata standards, BI dashboards
, and build CI/CD pipelines and automation to streamline analytics delivery. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience in SQL/Python, enterprise BI tools, ETL/ELT workflows, and data governance best practices.
1. Data Governance & Lineage
- Map the Journey: Document and maintain comprehensive data lineage to track the flow of data from source systems to final BI reports.
- Policy Enforcement: Develop and implement data governance frameworks, including data sensitivity labeling and access control policies.
- Metadata Management: Maintain a robust data catalog to ensure business terms and technical definitions are aligned across the organization.
- Audit & Monitor: Design and deploy automated data quality checks to identify anomalies, duplicates, or missing values.
- Remediation: Collaborate with engineering teams to root-cause data discrepancies and implement permanent fixes.
- Reporting: Maintain a "Data Health Scorecard" to provide visibility into the reliability of our core datasets.
- Visualization: Build, optimize, and maintain high-impact dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) that drive executive decision-making.
- Performance Tuning: Ensure dashboards are performant and load efficiently by optimizing underlying queries and data extracts.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Translate complex business requirements into intuitive visual stories.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for analytics assets (SQL, Python, BI models, ETL pipelines) including version control, automated testing, quality gates, and deployment workflows.
- Develop Python/Power Shell/SQL‑based automation scripts for metadata extraction, schema validation, data profiling, and routine analytics operations.
- Optimize ETL/ELT processes with reusable components, parameterized workflows, and automated orchestration.
- 5–10+ years of experience in data engineering, data governance, BI engineering, or analytics engineering
. - Strong expertise in SQL and Python for data validation, automation, and pipeline tasks.
- Hands‑on experience with Power BI
, including semantic models, calculations, and performance tuning. - Experience defining and managing data lineage
, metadata models
, and data quality frameworks
. - Experience with Microsoft Fabric and
Lakehouse architectures
. - Experience with enterprise data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Purview).
- Knowledge of data modeling (star schema, semantic models, tabular models).
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog).
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT orchestration tools (e.g., Fabric Data Pipelines, ADF, Databricks, Airflow).
- CI/CD experience with Git Hub/Git Lab/Jenkins (or similar), including workflow automation and deployment strategies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
