At
** Banner Baywood Medical Center**, our Emergency Department is a very busy 68-bed Level III Trauma Center.  We are a Certified Center of Excellence for stroke, orthopedics, and pediatrics. We care for both adult and pediatric patient populations. The Outpatient Observation Unit is a 26-bed dedicated observation unit. Most patients stay for less than 24 hours and are either discharged to home or admitted to an inpatient nursing unit.

The OOU’s average length of stay year to date is 20 hours with over 300 cases per month. The monitor room covers telemetry patients at both Baywood and Heart Hospital.

As the
** Director of Nursing**, you will be responsible for daily operations of the Emergency Department, Outpatient Observation Unit and monitor room at Banner Baywood Medical Center. This will include leading, directing, developing, and implementing strategies for clinical care and having budget and financial responsibilities.  Additionally, this position will be responsible for developing strategies for growing the business and maintaining strong relationships with other leaders and physicians.

POSITION SUMMARY  This position provides strategic leadership and administration in the areas of patient care, education, safety and quality in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development.
