Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team! Are you tired of being just a number within a company? Not feeling valued or appreciated as a therapist? As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will be working closely with an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy and support for our patients. You will be following plans of care previously laid out. The ideal candidate has feeding experience, strong time management skills, excellent customer service skills, and knowledge of occupational therapy guidelines and recommendations.

You will have the flexibility and autonomy to create your own schedule and caseload. See a part time caseload with as few as 15 clients or see a full time caseload with 30 clients…or more. It's really up to you!

Responsibilities
  • Read, understand, and follow all plans of care and therapy laid out for patients under your care
  • Assist patients with using adaptive equipment, modified exercises, and learning basic life skills
  • Assist Occupational Therapists with exercises, communication, and care coordination as needed
  • Provide input, and go over patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes
Qualifications
  • Current state licensing for occupational therapy assistance required
  • Previous experience working in an occupational therapy setting desired
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • CPR/First Aid certified
