The Person al Banker is responsible for assisting clients with banking solutions that improve their financial health and help them achieve goals. A Personal Banker should think outside the box to provide relevant solutions while maintaining WaFd Bank values.

• Build knowledge of bank products and services to understand client needs and provide solutions.
• Open new accounts, discuss and refer or originate loans, and onboard new clients.
• Introduce and demonstrate digital and self-service options to clients.
• Communicate clearly with staff and clients verbally, over the phone, and via video chat.
• Act as a concierge or greeter when needed.
• Make outbound calls to businesses, community organizations, and referral sources.
• Develop competencies and certifications/registrations necessary to support branch performance goals.
• Proactively accept initiatives and assignments.
• Adhere to bank policies and procedures complying with Federal regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, OFAC).
• Reflect WaFd Bank core values and ethics, including integrity, teamwork, ownership, simplicity, discipline, service, and kindness.

Education/Skills/Training:

• High school diploma or approved equivalent.
• Good math skills, 10-key and keyboarding.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Teams, Power
  
  BI, Outlook).
• Well-developed smartphone and digital channel skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with superior written and oral communication.
• Ability to demonstrate how to use automated technology to teach clients self-service skills.
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory transportation, and adequate insurance coverage.

Experience:

• Prior banking experience, including familiarity with lending, retail, consumer service delivery, or client relations.
