Overview
The Investment Specialist is a key contributor to the ongoing development, maintenance, and support of Modern Wealth’s Nationwide Investment Platform. This role serves as an investment subject matter expert across multiple business lines, supporting advisors and regional offices while helping ensure consistent, high-quality investment solutions firm wide. The ideal candidate will combine strong investment expertise with a service-oriented mindset to enhance advisor engagement and support the firm’s fiduciary responsibilities.

ResponsibilitiesNATIONWIDE INVESTMENT PLATFORM
Assist in building, maintaining, and supporting Modern Wealth’s Nationwide Investment Platform, including both internally and externally managed investment strategies.
Support the development, management, and ongoing maintenance of internally managed nationwide investment strategies, including asset allocation and manager/security selection, in accordance with defined investment parameters.
Conduct in-depth investment research and due diligence on external managers and strategies, identifying industry-leading solutions for inclusion on the Nationwide Investment Platform.
Support the investment approval, onboarding, and integration process for new strategies across the firm.
Contribute to the continuous enhancement and scalability of the Nationwide Investment Platform.
Build and maintain strong relationships with advisors, serving as a trusted investment resource and proactively identifying opportunities to deepen engagement.
Assist with managing, maintaining, and transitioning regional-office legacy investment strategies toward the Nationwide Investment Platform.
Provide investment guidance to advisors and clients, including asset allocation, portfolio construction recommendations, and performance communication.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including regional office support staff, investment operations teams, external partners, and compliance.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance policies, ethical standards, and investment management best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field required
CFA designation or active CFA candidacy preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in investment management or portfolio management within the financial services industry
Demonstrated expertise in financial markets, investment products, asset allocation, security analysis, and risk management
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to perform comprehensive investment research and due diligence
Proven ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly to advisors and stakeholders
Strong relationship-building and advisory support skills
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities across a nationwide platform
High attention to detail and commitment to fiduciary standards
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
