Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Inventory Modeling Tech Specialist (Associate, or Experienced Level) who provides assistance to gather data and develop data sets, models and simulations, participates in the collection and preparation of data, assists in using data to populate demand forecasting, strategic optimization and initial spares data sets to run models and logistics simulations, analyzes, updates and assists in optimization of model results.

assists in the use of tools and models to improve processes, provides assistance in using models to estimate resource needs, participates in the use of tools and models to improve processes, supports assessment of supply chain practices to improve cost and cycle time in Mesa, AZ.

Associate, and Experienced level Inventory Modeling Tech Specialists.

Position Responsibilities
  • Builds and manages data sets/modeling records to run models and simulations to identify process and system improvements and support business decisions.
  • Gathers, cleans and verifies accuracy, and analyzes data to develop and manage multiple data sets to run demand forecasting, strategic optimization, initial spares models and logistics simulations.
  • Utilizes a collaborative approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.

  • Assess performance of models and analysis and confirm that business objectives were met

  • Collaborates with functions such as Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, and Finance to facilitate best inputs into forecasting models.
  • Run demand forecasting, strategic optimization, initial spares models and logistics simulations on complex projects
  • Analyzes, manipulates, updates and optimizes models
  • Uses models to estimate resource needs
  • Uses tools, models and simulations to identify process and system improvements
  • Assesses supply chain practices to improve cost and cycle time

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Data analytics
  • Experience using or applying statistical and mathematical concepts to measure performance against projects to ensure high-quality deliveries
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Great communication skills, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced production environment
  • Programming experience in Python
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., R) and database languages (e.g., SQL).
  • Strong team player and passion to execute projects with a focus on customer and value
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, economics, quantitative finance, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or related field of engineering
  • Demand forecasting and/or data simulation experience
Typical Education/Experience

Associate (Level
2)

Typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
