We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Electrical Engineering to join our team in Mesa, AZ. In this role, you will lead a talented group of engineers in designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and solutions. • Lead and mentor a team of engineers in electrical design; manage performance evaluations, professional growth and resource allocations across multiple programs.
• Ensure all hardware designs meet Design Assurance Level (DAL) requirements; oversee creation and approval of PHACs, HDPs, and Hardware Accomplishment Summaries.
• Oversee and guide electrical strategies for EMI/EMC compliance activities and environmental qualification.
• Support System Engineering in formal Design Reviews (PDR/CDR); review and approve CCA packages adhering to manufacturing processes (DFM/DFA) to ensure production scalability and repeatability.
• Bid and forecast resource needs; manage department budgets and oversee project schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Earned Value Management (EVM):
• Plan and track mechanical engineering scope, schedule, and cost performance in alignment with program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement engineering processes and technical approaches to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to drive continuous improvement in engineering practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
• 15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Expertise with advanced Printed Circuit Board design tools (Altium, Cadence) and Model
  - Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices.
• Deep understanding of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and RTCA DO-160 standards.
• Experience with resource planning, performance evaluations (SMART Goals), and team development.
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts as applied to engineering execution on government programs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Military service or government contract experience preferred.
• Willing and able to travel both in and outside US.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
