Aircraft Mechanical & Structural Assembler
Mesa, AZ
Contract Position
$30.28-$38.56/Hour

Responsibilities- Perform bench assembly, installation, and removal of mechanical and structural aircraft components per engineering data and manufacturing plans.
- Conduct functional tests and operational checks on mechanical systems; document results per procedures.
- Troubleshoot and correct issues using engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical data.
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and planning documentation to ensure compliant assembly and installation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area in accordance with EHS and tooling safety standards
. - Support other assigned duties to meet production schedules and aircraft delivery objectives

- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Typically 4+ years of relevant aircraft assembly or mechanical/structural installation experience; equivalent combinations of vocational training and experience accepted.
- Assembly Process Knowledge:
- Understanding of aviation mechanical and structural assembly
, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, sheet metal, structures), and configuration data (e.g., design definitions, change memos, wiring diagrams). - Ability to differentiate between production vs. in-service maintenance requirements

- Tool Proficiency:
- Skilled in using industry-specific tools:
- Mechanical:
sheet metal brakes, shears, rivet squeezers, cold-hardening kits - Electrical:
crimpers, routing tools, multimeters

- Engineering Documentation:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics
