An experienced Equipment & Tool Engineer is needed for a contract position in Mesa, AZ. This 12‑month role involves reviewing and validating engineering designs for manufacturing tools and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Review and validate engineering designs for manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of technical drawings, schematics, and CAD models with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
• Perform a thorough review of CAD models to identify and rectify errors, omissions, and inconsistencies.
• Verify that designs adhere to industry standards (e.g., ISO, NAAMS, ASME Y14.5), company specifications, and best practices for manufacturing.
• Consult for and confirm proper geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), angles, radii, and other dimensions.
• Validate the accuracy and completeness of the bill of materials (BOM), ensuring all materials and components are correctly specified.

• Active DOD Secret Clearance prior to the start.
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (incl. manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors OR 3+ years of work-related experience with a master’s OR work-related experience with a PhD.
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Solid Works, AutoCAD, CATIA, NX, or Creo.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex engineering and 3D models.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T required to check for compliance with industry standards like ASME.
• Experience with quality control processes, tools, and best practices to identify and document design issues.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO) related to tool design and manufacturing.
