Part Time Technology Teacher

American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for a part-time Technology Teacher for the  school year at our Applied Technologies Campus
, located in Mesa, AZ. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

• Design and implement a comprehensive curriculum that covers programming languages, software applications, and graphic design.
• Deliver engaging lessons using a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, hands-on activities, group projects, and technology-enhanced learning.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and practical projects, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment conducive to learning, fostering respect and collaboration among students.
• Provide guidance and support to students regarding course material, career opportunities in IT, and pathways for further education.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT education, participating in relevant training and professional development activities.
• Work collaboratively with other faculty members and staff to enhance the IT program and participate in departmental meetings and planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Strong knowledge of programming languages, software applications, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to various learning styles and promote active participation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear instruction and interaction with students and faculty.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage classroom activities, lesson plans, and student assessments effectively.
• Proficiency in evaluating student performance through practical assessments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback.
• Skills in maintaining a professional and orderly classroom environment that encourages respect and engagement.

• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance card
• At least 2 years of professional experience in the IT field or education.

• Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in teaching information technology or related subjects.
• Relevant teaching certification or credentials in technology education.
