Job DescriptionThe Adjunct Instructor will join a dynamic academic team at EVIT and provide competent classroom instruction in their area of credentialed expertise. The Adjunct Instructor will teach students from diverse backgrounds. This part‑time position (8‑week sessions; 3‑4 credit load) supports EVIT’s mission to provide high‑quality education. Under the general supervision of the Director, the instructor will work with students to provide them with the knowledge and training needed to succeed in their chosen career.
The role will continually assess and enhance the curriculum to meet EVIT’s educational requirements and the students’ needs while adhering to all accreditation standards.
Salary: $1,500 per load credit.

Non‑Exempt, As‑needed.
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Anatomy & Physiology, Human Biology, Nursing, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 18 graduate‑level credits in biological and/or life science with a grade of “C” or higher.
- At least one year of collegiate‑level teaching experience.
- Experience using Canvas, Google Classroom, and Exam Soft or similar learning management systems.
- Valid Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
- Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) if born after January 1, 1957.
- Two years of collegiate‑level teaching experience.
- Demonstrated ability to plan instruction aligned with course objectives and submit lesson plans in a timely manner.
- Skilled in assessing students’ skill levels and developing appropriate learning objectives.
- Proficient in organizing instructional time, space, materials, and equipment for effective learning.
- Ability to plan and implement engaging classroom activities and assignments that reinforce learning objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated punctuality and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Capacity to maintain a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in an academic setting.
- Commitment to fostering student success through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
